Meeting called to order at 12:12 A.M. by Sr. Warden Loyd Platson

Additions to Agenda: Loyd Platson – Quick report on inventory of alter items
Review and approval of minutes from vestry minutes of January 4, 2009 were reviewed.

Treasurer report was presented by Carol Slaughter and Bob Green.

Committee reports reviewed under new business
New Business:
1) 2009 Budget – Amended budget as approved by annual meeting – to be attached to congregational meeting notes
2) Audit committee – Need to appoint committee. Bob Green stated that three people are needed for this committee. Carol Slaughter said she would ask
For people to volunteer for this. This was agreed to by vestry/
3) Items 3 and 11 combine – Out reach committee – Clelia, Cyntia, Kathy Funk,
Julie Platson
Outreach/Nevada Outreach Training Organization (No to Abuse/PFRC/Food
Pantry) $2,400.00 one time annual gift to be given to program. NTA will manage
money and give us report on how money was spent.

4) Memorial Committee – Should be able to determine from memorial gift donation
Sheet. Expenses not identified yet. Carol will report on this.
5) Insurance renewal – Vestry voted no on increasing embesslement and forgery
coverage. Waiting to here from Jim Koehn and Irv Cousins regarding umbrella
rider. (Are we a mission church?)
6) Reserve fund – Recommendation for annual meeting item for next year. Bob Green and Carol Slaughter will find out what the deductable is and guidelines.
7) Sponsorship/Participant : NAH Carnival March 19 – Julie Platson
Event is free. Recommended donation amount of $100.00 Carol will run table.

Lenton Quiet Day March 14 @ St. Martin’s – Sign up at church
9) Loyd and Julie Platson – Magnetic Church Conference Report: How we do
evangelism, market the church and welcome people into the church.
Greeters should welcome new people to the church.
10) Blinds/Window Coverings for office – Recommend verticles. Carol will get
estimates and bring to next meeting.
11) Combined with Item #3
12) Lisa Whitney will discuss with Joan issue of doing recycled cards.
13) Church inventory discussed with audit
14) Loyd P. – Sandy recommends that window casings stay “as is”
15) Patty D. – Jim Reed would like to donate a security screen door for the
front of the parish hall.

16) Lisa Whitney will put up sign up sheets for volunteers to help with building and
grounds upkeep.
17) Vestry mini retreat – Tabled until next vestry meeting
Upcoming Events:
Bob Green recommended celebrating 20 year anniversary of St. Martin’s.
Chamber of Commerce Lunch Feb. 9th
Teen Night 2/20 from 6 – 9 P.M.
